Fringe is back for 2025 and we have an epic line up organised!
If you haven’t heard of Fringe before (and let’s be honest, who hasn’t?) it is “the massively popular annual festival held in Perth that is enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people” (self-described by Fringe, but we can vouch for it – it is massively popular).
Held upstairs in our Common Room space, we have the acts from right here in Perth and as far as London to keep you entertained and coming back for more.
With weekly food specials, epic drinks and nothing but good times guaranteed, grab your mates, get tickets and lock in your Fringe World 2025 at The Elford.
THE LINE UP
31st of August - Stacey Ann
Acclaimed for her compelling and captivating vocals, singer-songwriter Stacey Ann will have your heart hanging from a thread with her honey-like harmonies, unforgettable melodies and beautiful arrangements featuring drums, bass, piano and guitar.
This female-fronted 5-piece, inspired by the likes of Florence and the Machine, Meg Mac, Gretta Ray and Fleetwood Mac, has emerged into an indie-folk-pop sound filled with warmth, compassion and sincerity.
Stacey Ann is a mellow yet soulful artist who conveys both fragility and power, which is paralleled by her graceful fashion sense and flaming red hair.
Having played Nannup Music Festival 2023, Stacey Ann has become a formidable force as a young and emerging independent artist in the Perth scene.

24th of August – Ben Lunt
Growing up in the suburbs just out of Perth, Western Australia. Ben has been writing love songs ever since we was in Primary school, with his first release coming in 2020 called "Lady Bug." A chill little indie/ folk tune recorded and performed solo.
Since then he’s been travelling the last two years, along this beautiful state performing north and south ends. In which experiencing its wonders was inspired to write his latest single "West Coast."
Linking up with a mate George on drums, creating and recording a new love song, this time about WA (West Coast).
“Out of all the songs I have written, this one has always had the most raw emotion and energy put into it. When you listen to the track, it slowly builds you with the acoustic single strum and the kick drum coming in, to then a thumping chorus:
"..it's been so long, I forget where I'm calling home, I'm staying on the West Coast, I'm staying here I'll always go.."
17th of August - Mia June
Mia June is an indie singer-songwriter from Perth, and with her witty, brutally honest lyricism she'll have you hanging on to every word.
Joined by her band, Mia blends authentic and heartfelt folk inspired songwriting with an indie rock sound.
10th of August – Maya Ixchell
Maya Ixchell has been performing for the last seven years and in that time has cemented herself as an upcoming name to watch in the Western Australian music scene. She has been a regular performer at the Nannup Music Festival, opened for well-known artists such as the Hoodoo Gurus, Jon Stevens, Kallidad, Fieldsy and Mitchell Martin, toured up north playing shows all the way from Perth-to-Broome, released four singles which have accumulated over 68,000 streams, and was even shortlisted for The Voice Australia in 2016.
Regularly being compared to some of her favourite musical influences and songwriters such as Missy Higgins and Taylor Swift – Maya Ixchell loves incorporating her own experiences into her music and sharing the emotions and stories with her audience.
3rd of August – Grant Touchell
Grant Touchell is a guitarist, singer and multi-instrumentalist from Fremantle, Western Australia. Performing classical guitar from a young age and from a musical household. Grant has grown up with music.
Teaching guitar and playing in a plethora of Perth/Fremantle bands (Hyte, Last Tuneless, Nu Ohm Ra) over the past 15 years has left Grant with a stamp on the scene. Further playing and travelling through South America, India and Europe has left a worldly imprint on his sound. Fusing elements of Electronica & Rock into his solo material; 'New Day' is the first slice of an eclectic pie in the works.
27th of July – Whiskey Jack
From the Hills of Perth, hiking, springtime and nature enthusiast Whiskey Jack has built his presence in the indie-folk realm, with four released singles; Golden State; The Wild and the Weather; The Spaceman and A Great Vine. Influenced by Gregory Alan Isakov, Ben Howard and Shakey Graves, Jack injects deep echos of meaning into his music.
Described as an old soul with a smooth sound and timeless vocals, he has a talent for poetic and thought-provoking lyricism weaved through uplifting melodies. Jack has toured his home state of Western Australia, performing throughout Northwest and Southwest, and Melbourne during 2022.
20th of July – Brontë
Bronte’s sound is born of a love affair with the earthy tones and free flowing melodies of the 60’s and 70’s artists, and the fun and frivolity that arose in the subsequent decade’s chart toppers. With an eclectic and wide spanning taste in music she brings a colourful yet balanced palette of song choices to suit the mood, whether you and your friends feel like dancing the night away or cozying up with a nice wine and some feel good classics after a long day. Oh and she won’t forget to play your favourite guilty pleasure pop hits either.. just with a folky inspired signature.
13th of July – Zack Linton
Zack Linton is a guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer from Perth, Western Australia. Since moving to Perth from the UK in 2010, he has since performed countless gigs on the local circuit as well as regional touring in Australia and international ventures to the USA. He was the Winner of the Best New Artist accolade for 2015 on Europe’s largest network for free music and gaining over over two million streams online.
His sound combines soul, RnB and his youthful love of hard rock and blues. His guitar skills are second to none, combined with an effortless vocal tone that draws in audiences far and wide. Zack’s set list spans over the last fifty years, including Bill Withers, Prince, Bon Jovi, Oasis and John Mayer, taking well known songs and transforming them into a fresh and modern sound that is all his own.

6th of July – Ruzell Curita
Ruzell Curita is an up-and-coming multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, based in Perth. He has completed a Diploma in Music Industry from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
Ruzell loves to showcase his love for old classic songs and modern pop/r&b with piano, guitar, and warm vocals. He provides both mellow romantic ambience and an upbeat acoustic atmosphere to popular modern songs that gets the crowd going and dancing all night long!

Bethany O’Brien is a Boorloo singer-songwriter with powerhouse vocals.
She has been playing original music and covers with her own twist around Boorloo for over 7 years and is currently finishing her Bachelors Degree of Contemporary Music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

1st of June – Olive Mae
Olive Mae is a folk/ country singer songwriter from a small town in the southwest of WA. She taught herself guitar at age 18 after being inspired by artists such as Frente, Paul Kelly, The Waifs and Missy Higgins.
Soon after, she was performing regularly at local festivals and events in her hometown. After a significant break from music to raise her 2 boys, she released her first 2 singles in 2022, both of which were top 20 finalists in 2 categories in the 2023 WAM Song of The Year. She has just released her latest single, Girls Like You, (also a finalist in 2 categories in the 2023 WAM Song of the Year) which was inspired by the seemingly endless violence against women issue that a lot of women face at some point in their lives.
Olive is looking forward to releasing her debut EP in the second half of 2023 in conjunction with a 6-month tour of the east coast with her family.

18th of may - Ella Therese
Poised and powerful, West Coast’s alt-pop songstress Ella Therese knows what she wants and stops at nothing to get it.
Bringing a bewitching, dance-infused energy to her music, Ella Therese combines compulsive rhythms, steamy synths and her seductive vocal tone for a sonic experience that inspires the head, the heart and the body.
Following the 2021 release of her intoxicating second single 'Confusion', comes new alt-rock track 'THIRTYFOUR'. In an empowering move to maintain ownership and artistry, Ella will also be releasing the song as an NFT.

4th of May – Josh Fairweather
Paying homage to her hometown and their love for folk music, the musical duo Katie Dobson and Josh Fairweather perform a mixture of stripped back covers and originals that capture the very essence of why they both fell in love with music. Being from a small town in England, Katie credits a lot of her admiration for music to being brought up in a house that was always playing music. From waking up to ACDC and Journey being blasted, to grandparents singing the classics, she’s always associated music with home. On the other hand, Josh has spent his whole life in Perth, growing up and fostering his passion for music locally as well as music from Katie’s edge of the world. Together, they bring together these influences for a smooth and easy to listen to set that a broad range of audiences can enjoy.
27th of April - Britt Elise
Born and raised on a little island in the Caribbean called Curaçao, Britt Elise always found music wherever she went. Before she could even speak, she would sing herself to sleep at night.
As she got older, she started performing and writing as much as she possibly could. When she moved to Bali, Indonesia at 10 years old, she learned how to really perform. She started jamming with artists from all over Indonesia and building international connections as well. After graduating high school, Britt moved to Australia, releasing her debut single WIRED at the age of 17 last year.
She is currently studying a Bachelor of Contemporary Music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). She’s inspired by everything around her, but when it comes to other artists, her major musical influences include: Phoebe Bridgers, The Beatles (who isn’t inspired by The Beatles?), The Lumineers, Billie Eilish, FINNEAS, Elton John, Pete Ray Biggin, Madeline The Person, and many, many more.

Words that echo our own thoughts and insecurities, Lo's music is more than simply relatable. It's our youth meeting our future, our emo roots intertwining with our fledgling maturity. The sad-girl pop artist released her debut EP 'Plan For An Independent Future' in 2020 and was quick to grab attention, landing multiple Spotify Editorial Playlists and gaining over a million streams.

Jasmine Gannaway is a WA singer song writer, bringing tales of wonder, heart-break and details of the intricacies of the world around us, together through melodic guitar and powerhouse vocals.
23rd of March - Tanya Hemi
Tanya Hemi is a solo guitarist, singer-songwriter and loop mixer, who layers harmonies with catchy melodies. She was born and raised in rural New Zealand but has spent several years travelling and living abroad, and now proudly calls Perth home.
With influences like Xavier Rudd, Etta James, Matt Corby, Kim Churchill, John Butler, Tash Sultana and many more, she has naturally gravitated towards writing and singing her own songs.
She released her first single “Wake up” in 2021, showing a raw glimpse of her life story, social and cultural differences. The song can be found on all streaming platforms.
Tanya works full time and devotes every spare moment to writing, creating beats, and performing them around Perth. She is currently channelling her energy and focus into collaborating with local WA artists and recording her own EP.
